HueSort
Swap colour tiles until the board blends into one smooth gradient.
Every day: One colour gradient puzzle a day, the same for everybody: swap tiles until the board becomes one smooth gradient, with dotted tiles fixed in place. New puzzle: Once a day (exact time not stated).

HueSort is a calm colour puzzle on itch.io. Every tile is a colour, the dotted tiles are fixed, and you swap the rest until the whole board is a smooth gradient. There is one daily puzzle shared by everybody, plus a levels mode that grows from 4x4 to 8x8.
About HueSort
HueSort, by davesfungames, was published on itch.io in autumn 2026. The board is a square grid of coloured tiles. A few carry a dot, meaning they are already in the right place; everything else is shuffled. Tap two tiles to swap them, or drag one onto another, until every row and column blends evenly. A move counter and timer run at the top, and a Peek button gives a limited look at the answer.
The Daily tab has one puzzle, the same for everybody, with a new one each day; solve it to keep your streak and share your score. The Levels tab starts at 4x4 and grows to 8x8, giving you fewer fixed tiles as you go.
The game needs no download or account, shows no ads, and works on phones. It suits players who enjoy colour-sorting puzzles like I Love Hue and want one short session a day.
How to play HueSort
- Open the Daily tab to load today's board.
- Note the dotted tiles; they are already correct and never move.
- Tap two tiles to swap them, or drag one onto another.
- Keep swapping until the colours blend smoothly across the board.
- Share your moves and time, and keep your streak going.
Tips
- Work outward from the dotted tiles; they anchor the gradient.
- Fill the edges first, since they blend between only two fixed points.
- Compare each tile with all four neighbours before moving on.
- Save Peek for when you are truly stuck.
