Huedle

Swap scrambled colour tiles back into one smooth gradient, a new board every day.

Every day: One scrambled colour-gradient board a day, the same for every player: swap tiles until the whole grid blends between its two locked corners, timed and counted in moves, with a daily leaderboard. New puzzle: Once a day (the site does not state the time).

A finished Huedle board: a 6x6 grid blending from blue to purple, pink and orange

Huedle is a daily colour puzzle. The grid's tiles are scrambled, two opposite corners are locked, and you swap tiles until the board forms a perfect gradient. There is no losing: you play for the best time in the fewest moves and can compare on the day's leaderboard.

About Huedle

Huedle gives you one grid of coloured tiles a day. Two opposite corners are fixed and set the start and end colours, and every other tile has been shuffled. Your job is to rebuild the gradient that runs across the whole board.

You drag a tile onto another to swap them, or tap one tile and then another. When a tile lands in its right place it pulses, plays a chime and shows a dot, so you always know which ones are done. There is no win or loss: a timer and a move counter run while you play, and the finished time and move count are what you share and rank on the daily leaderboard. Signing in with Google is optional.

Huedle was marked beta when we looked. Every past board since launch is in the archive, so you can keep playing after the day's grid.

How to play Huedle

  1. Open Huedle and press Start to reveal today's scrambled board.
  2. Find the two locked corners: they set the colours the gradient runs between.
  3. Drag a tile onto another, or tap two tiles, to swap them.
  4. Watch for the pulse and dot that mark a tile in its right place.
  5. Finish the gradient, then share your time and moves or check the leaderboard.

Tips

  • Work from the corners inwards, as the site suggests.
  • Edges blend between two known colours, so set them before the middle.
  • Compare a tile with both neighbours, not just one, before swapping it.
  • Fewer moves count, so think about where a tile goes before you drag it.
