Deepcore Rivals
Rate itDrill down through the day's shared mine and get your ore home before the fuel runs out.
Every day: One mine a day, generated from a new seed at midnight UTC and shared by every player, with leaderboards for who dug deepest and a score card to share. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Deepcore Rivals is a top-down mining game in the browser. Every day at midnight UTC a new mine opens, the same for everyone: drill out from the hub, fight the creatures in the rock and bring your ore back before your fuel is gone. Scores go on shared boards, with no account or install.
About Deepcore Rivals
Deepcore Rivals is a free browser game from Good Matter Games on itch.io. You drive a drilling rig out from a hub into the rock, dig for ore, fight what lives down there and haul your cargo back to the pad before the fuel runs dry. Cargo only counts if it makes it home, so every trip is a choice between going a little deeper and turning back in time.
The mine is the daily part. At midnight UTC a new seed reshuffles the world under the hub, every player drops into the same mine, and the boards keep track of who cut deepest. When a run ends, one tap posts your score card so others can try to beat it.
The world has six layers, Copper Ridge, Glassrift, Cinder Mantle, Brine Hollow, Mire Vault and Abyss Crown, each with its own ore, creatures and hazards. Between runs you build your rig in the garage from drills, engines, hull plating, fuel cells, cargo holds, systems and mods, and something waits at the bottom that, the game says, nobody has reached yet.
It plays with WASD or the arrow keys on a computer and with touch controls on a phone. It suits players who like short roguelite runs with an upgrade loop and a daily score to compare.
How to play Deepcore Rivals
- Open the game; the day's mine is ready, the same for everyone.
- Drive out from the hub with WASD or the arrow keys (or touch on a phone) and drill into the rock.
- Collect ore into your cargo hold and fight off the creatures you meet.
- Watch your fuel, heat and hull, and head back to the pad before you run dry.
- Deposit your cargo at the pad: only what you bring home counts.
- Spend what you earned on rig parts in the garage, then share your score card.

Tips
- Leave fuel for the climb back: ore you die with is lost.
- Bank cargo often on early runs instead of pushing for one deep trip.
- Upgrade fuel cells and cargo holds before chasing the deeper layers.
- Each layer has its own hazards, so scout a new layer before filling your hold there.
