Wordnook's Daily Word #652 in progress: three guesses with teal and gold tiles on a dark board, a 4-day streak and the keyboard below

Wordnook is a Wordle-style word game for Android. Each day brings one numbered Daily Word, a five-letter word everyone gets, to find in six guesses from coloured tile clues. Keep a streak, share an emoji recap, and play the endless Journey levels when one word is not enough.

About Wordnook: Daily Word Puzzle

Wordnook is a five-letter word guessing game for Android phones, published on Google Play by Global App Solutions DB. Its look is warm and dim, with a lamp-lit wooden desk behind the board, and the whole game is pitched as a calm few minutes rather than a race against a timer.

The main mode is the Daily. Each day there is one numbered puzzle (the store screenshots show Daily Word #652) with the same hidden word for every player in the world. You have six rows to find it. After each guess the tiles change colour: teal for a letter in the right place, gold for a letter that is in the word but somewhere else, and dark grey for a letter that is not in the word. The on-screen keyboard keeps the same colours, so you can see at a glance which letters are still possible. When you finish, the game shows your streak, a countdown to the next word and a Share button that sends a spoiler-free emoji grid.

A few things set it apart from a plain Wordle copy. If you run out of rows, you can unlock one extra row and still finish the word. Hints reveal a letter in exchange for coins earned in play. Hard mode makes you reuse every revealed clue in later guesses. New players get a short tutorial and three easy warm-up words before their first Daily. The Daily also works offline.

For more play than one word a day there is Journey, an endless trail of levels that starts with easy words and gets harder as you go. The app is free and contains ads, though the developer says no pop-up ads interrupt the Daily. Statistics track your current and best streak, win rate and guess distribution.

Wordnook suits players who already enjoy Wordle and want an Android app with a quieter look, and newcomers who would like a gentle introduction before their first real puzzle.

How to play Wordnook: Daily Word Puzzle

  1. Open Wordnook on Android and choose the Daily tab to load today's numbered word.
  2. Type any five-letter word on the keyboard and press Enter to play it in the first row.
  3. Read the tiles: teal means the letter is in the right spot, gold means it is in the word but in another spot, grey means it is not in the word.
  4. Use those clues for your next guess, and keep going until you find the word or use all six rows.
  5. If you run out of rows, unlock the extra row to finish, or spend coins on a hint that reveals a letter.
  6. When you are done, share your emoji result and check the countdown to the next Daily Word.

Tips

  • Start with a word that uses common letters such as E, A, R, S and T, so the first row tells you as much as possible.
  • Watch the keyboard colours: grey keys are letters you can stop trying.
  • Remember that a letter can appear twice; a gold or teal letter does not rule out a second copy.
  • Save hints for the last rows, where one revealed letter often settles a word with several possible endings.
  • Turn on hard mode once the Daily feels easy: it stops you from playing throwaway guesses.

Questions

Is Wordnook the same word for everyone?

Yes. The Daily Word is one numbered puzzle per day, and every player around the world gets the same hidden word, so you can compare results with friends and family.

Is Wordnook free?

Yes, it is free on Google Play and contains ads. The developer says the Daily itself has no pop-up ads, and coins for hints can be earned in the game.

Can I play more than one word a day?

Yes. Journey mode is an endless series of word levels that starts easy and gets gradually harder, separate from the shared Daily Word.

Is Wordnook on iPhone?
