Word Master, also called WordMaster, is a Wordle-style game with one shared five-letter word a day, played in the browser or in an Android app. Six guesses, coloured tiles after each one, and when the round ends the word's definition, examples and synonyms are saved to a personal word list.

About Word Master: Daily Word Puzzle

Word Master is a word guessing game from Tileworks Studio, a one-person project from South Korea that runs as a free website at wordmaster.store and as an Android app called Word Master: Daily Word Puzzle. The answers are always common English words, and the screens can be switched between English and Korean, which makes it popular with people learning English as well as with regular Wordle players.

The Daily Challenge is one five-letter word for everyone. The site picks it from the date, so every player sees the same puzzle, and it changes at midnight UTC. You type a guess, press Enter, and each tile turns blue for a letter in the right place, amber for a letter that is in the word but elsewhere, or grey for a letter that is not in it. You have six tries. One hint per game shows the word's definition and part of speech.

What sets it apart is what happens after the round. The answer is shown with its definition, examples, synonyms and antonyms, and it is saved to My Words, with a Weak Words list for the ones you missed. A Past Words page lets you replay any of the last 30 daily words.

Beyond the daily puzzle there is an Unlimited mode, an Easy mode with four-letter words, a Hard mode with six, themed lists (animals, food), school-level word lists, a News Challenge drawn from the day's headlines, and two other formats: Anagram and Hangman. The website needs no account, keeps your stats in the browser and shows no ads; the Android app is free with ads and plays its daily puzzles offline.

How to play Word Master: Daily Word Puzzle

  1. Open the Daily Challenge on wordmaster.store or in the Android app.
  2. Type any five-letter English word and press Enter.
  3. Read the tiles: blue means the letter is in the right spot, amber means it is in the word but in another spot, grey means it is not in the word.
  4. Use those clues for your next guess; you have six guesses in all.
  5. If you are stuck, press Hint once to see the word's definition and part of speech.
  6. When the round ends, read the word's meaning, share your result, and come back after midnight UTC for the next one.

Tips

  • The site suggests CRANE, SLOTH or BUILD as openers because they cover common letters.
  • The answer is never a name, a place or a brand, so you can rule those out.
  • Letters can repeat: words like LEVEL can be the answer, so a blue letter may still appear again.
  • Save the hint for the last two guesses, when a definition can decide between a few words that fit.
