Daily Word Challenge is a free Android word game from Apollo Mobile Games. Each day it sets a new hidden word at three difficulties, and you have six guesses to find it, with coloured tiles showing which letters are right. An unlimited mode lets you keep playing after the daily words are done.

About Daily Word Challenge (Apollo Mobile Games)

Daily Word Challenge is a Wordle-style guessing game for Android phones and tablets, published on Google Play by Apollo Mobile Games, a studio run by Apollo Software in Singapore. It is free to download and play, carries ads, and has passed a million installs.

Every day the app gives you a new word to find in three sizes. Easy uses four letters, Classic five and Hard six. You type a guess on the on-screen keyboard and press Submit; each tile then turns green when the letter is in the right place, yellow when the word has that letter somewhere else, and black when it is not in the word at all. The keyboard keeps the same colours, so you can see which letters are still open. You have six tries.

Beyond the daily words there is an unlimited mode for playing as many extra words as you like, and some players report longer seven-letter rounds there. A hint button, paid for by watching an ad, reveals a letter when you are stuck. A statistics screen tracks games played, win rate, your current and longest streak and how many guesses your wins took, and you can share a result with friends.

The app has a dark and a light theme and, since a recent update, can be played in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Polish as well as English. It suits anyone who likes Wordle and wants several lengths each day in one app, and who does not mind ads between rounds.

How to play Daily Word Challenge (Apollo Mobile Games)

  1. Open the app and choose a daily challenge: Easy (4 letters), Classic (5 letters) or Hard (6 letters).
  2. Type a real word of that length on the on-screen keyboard and press Submit.
  3. Read the tiles: green means the letter is in the right spot, yellow means it is in the word but elsewhere, black means it is not in the word.
  4. Use those clues for your next guess, and find the word within six tries.
  5. Check your statistics and share your result, then play the other lengths or the unlimited mode.

Tips

  • Start with a word that uses common vowels and consonants, such as one with A, E, R, S and T, to rule out letters quickly.
  • Watch the keyboard colours: a black key is a letter you never need to try again.
  • Do the Easy four-letter word first as a warm-up before Classic and Hard.
  • Save the ad-paid hint for the last guess or two, when one letter decides the word.
