Targle (MinCalc)
Rate itThe target is shown; find the one six-character equation that makes it, in six guesses.
Every day: One target number a day with a hidden six-character equation that makes it, the same for every player on that date, with earlier puzzles in an archive. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Targle is MinCalc's daily equation puzzle. The day's target number is shown up front, and you have six guesses to find the exact six-character equation hidden behind it, with each character coloured to show whether it is in the right place.
About Targle (MinCalc)
Targle is a Nerdle-style equation game with one difference: the target is not hidden. The number above the grid is what today's equation comes to, and your job is to find the one six-character equation, out of all those that make that number, that is today's answer.
Equations use the digits 0 to 9 and the four operators. They must start and end with a digit, have no leading zeros, and come out to a positive whole number, with multiplication and division done before addition and subtraction. Guesses that break these rules are refused as you type and cost nothing. After a valid guess every character is coloured: teal for the right character in the right place, coral for one that is in the equation elsewhere, and slate for one that is not in it at all.
Because many equations reach the target, a guess can be spent probing characters rather than trying to solve. A new puzzle goes live at 00:00 UTC for everyone, and every Targle since April 2026 is in the archive.
It suits players who enjoy Nerdle and Mathler, and it sits beside MinCalc's other daily puzzles such as Sumrex and Quackle.
How to play Targle (MinCalc)
- Open mincalc.com/targle and read today's target number.
- Type a six-character equation with digits and +, -, x or / that comes out to a positive whole number.
- Submit it and read the colours: teal is right and in place, coral is in the equation elsewhere, slate is not in it.
- Use what you learned to choose your next equation; invalid ones are refused without costing a guess.
- Find the exact hidden equation within six guesses.

Tips
- Remember that x and / are worked out before + and -: 3+2x5 is 13.
- Early on, use a guess that tries several new digits and operators, even if it does not hit the target.
- The equation cannot start or end with an operator, which narrows the first and last slots.
