Quackle daily board: a 7x7 grid of ponds A to G with their duck counts and five ducks placed, beside MinCalc's list of the day's puzzles

Quackle is MinCalc's daily logic puzzle: a 7x7 grid split into ponds, each labelled with how many ducks it holds. The ducks in a pond must form one connected flock, and ducks from different ponds may never sit side by side.

About Quackle (MinCalc)

Quackle is a calm grid puzzle published once a day on MinCalc. The 7x7 board is divided into ponds, each with a letter and a number in its corner saying how many ducks it must hold; a few ducks are placed for you and locked. You tap squares to add or remove ducks until every pond is full.

Two rules drive the deductions. Inside a pond, all its ducks must form one connected flock, each touching another up, down, left or right. Across a pond border, the shore, no two ducks from different ponds may sit orthogonally next to each other, though corner to corner is fine. A pond of five squeezed beside a pond of one leaves few ways for both to fit, and that is where most boards open up.

Each board is generated and then re-solved by a checker that only uses forced moves, so it can be finished without guessing. The puzzle goes live at 00:00 UTC for everyone, a Check button tells you about mistakes, three spoiler-safe hints are offered for each day, and every Quackle since April 2026 stays playable in the archive.

It sits beside MinCalc's other dailies, including Peerkle, and suits players who like Queens-style region logic with a different rule.

How to play Quackle (MinCalc)

  1. Open mincalc.com/quackle for today's board.
  2. Read each pond's label: the number is how many ducks it must hold.
  3. Tap a square to place a duck, and tap again to remove it; pre-placed ducks are fixed.
  4. Keep each pond's ducks in one connected group touching up, down, left or right.
  5. Never let ducks from different ponds sit side by side across a border, then press Check when every pond is full.

Tips

  • Start with small ponds beside big ones: the shore rule rules out many squares at once.
  • A pond whose count equals its size is simply filled; mark it first.
  • Diagonal contact across a border is allowed, which often decides where a flock can bend.
