Birdoku
Place the geese: one per row, column and colour region.
Every day: A new board each day, the same for everyone, with the grid split into coloured regions. You place geese so there is exactly one in every row, one in every column and one in every coloured region. A dated archive holds past boards. New puzzle: Once a day.

Birdoku is a daily logic puzzle on a grid divided into coloured regions. You work out where to put the geese so that each row, each column and each coloured region holds exactly one. It is deduced rather than guessed, and there is a new board every day with an archive of earlier ones.
About Birdoku
Birdoku is a daily logic puzzle from Ponder Club, part of its Beta Labs. It takes the familiar queens idea and gives it a goose theme. The board is a grid split into irregular coloured regions, and your task is to place geese under a strict set of rules.
The rules shown are simple to state: exactly one goose per row, exactly one per column, and exactly one per coloured region. From those constraints the single correct placement can be reasoned out, so progress comes from deduction rather than trial and error.
There is a fresh board each day, the same for every player, and a dated archive lets you go back to earlier puzzles. A how-to walks you through the rules, and the page tracks your geese placed and your time. Ponder Club states its games are all free with no paywalls or subscriptions.
It suits players who enjoy queens-style and region-based logic puzzles and want a short, self-contained daily grid to solve.
How to play Birdoku
- Look at the grid and its coloured regions.
- Place a goose where it must go so no row has two.
- Keep each column to exactly one goose as well.
- Make sure every coloured region ends up with exactly one goose.
- Fill the board so all three rules hold at once to solve it.
Tips
- Start with the smallest coloured region, since its options are most limited.
- When a row, column or region has only one open cell left, that cell must hold a goose.
- Use a placed goose to rule out the rest of its row, column and region before moving on.
