Stop the Clock daily challenge for 10/07/2026: target 7.81 on a round stopwatch at 0.00, Try 1 of 3, countdown to the next challenge and Today's leaders

Stop the Clock is a browser timing game: start a stopwatch with a tap and stop it as close as you can to a target time. Each day brings one target for everyone, played on Medium where the clock disappears mid-round, with three tries that add up to your score on the daily leaderboard.

About Stop the Clock

Stop the Clock asks one thing: tap to start the clock and tap again right when it hits the target. The closer you stop to the exact hundredth of a second, the more points you get, and a stop on the exact hundredth is worth 1,000 points.

The daily challenge has its own tab. Each date gets one target, between 2 and 10 seconds, that is the same for every player. It is always played on Medium, where the clock vanishes halfway through the target, so you have to count the rest in your head. You get three tries, and the total of the three goes on the shared daily leaderboard. Bonus tries bought with coins count for your best, coins and missions but not for the leaderboard.

Scoring is stricter when you can see the clock: with it visible the whole time, anything more than 0.20 seconds off scores nothing, while the window widens the longer the clock is hidden. Points are multiplied by difficulty (Easy 1, Medium 1.5, Hard 2) and by the length of the target, and each close stop in a row adds 10 percent, up to double.

Outside the daily, Practice lets you pick 3, 5 or 10 seconds or a surprise target on Easy, Medium or Hard, Survival keeps going until you miss, and Duel puts two players on one device. Coins from rounds buy extra daily tries, streak freezes, character gear and clock faces, and you can send a friend the same target to see who stops closer.

Tips

  • Count steadily from the start, not just after the clock hides, so the rhythm is already set.
  • Try the same target length in Practice on Medium before using your three daily tries.
  • The result shows whether you were early or late, so adjust the next try by that much.
