Dialed Time card with concentric purple rings and the question How good is your timing?

Dialed Time is a short memory game about your sense of time. It plays five durations one at a time without a visible timer, and you then reproduce each one; the closer you get, the more of the 50 available points you score. The daily challenge gives everyone the same five durations and one attempt.

About Dialed Time

Dialed Time is part of Dialed, a set of free browser memory games that also covers colour, sound, shape, pattern and tempo. Each game tests one kind of perception with a five-round format, and each has a daily challenge.

In Time, a duration plays and then you recreate it by holding for what feels like the same length. There is no clock on screen, so you rely on your internal sense of timing. Each round scores up to 10 points depending on how close you were, for a maximum of 50.

The daily Time challenge gives every player the same five durations for the day. You get one attempt, then share your score and compare on the daily leaderboard. Outside the daily you can play solo as often as you like, send a challenge link with fixed durations to friends, or host a live room.

It suits musicians, drummers, gamers who rely on timing, and anyone curious about how well they judge a second or three.

How to play Dialed Time

  1. Start the daily Time challenge.
  2. Watch or listen as a duration plays, without a visible timer.
  3. Recreate it by holding for the same length; each round scores up to 10 points.
  4. Complete all five rounds for a score out of 50 and compare on the daily leaderboard.

Tips

  • Count steadily in your head (for example one-and-two-and) while the duration plays.
  • Keep the same counting speed when you recreate it; tension makes people count faster.
  • Very short durations are easier to overshoot, so release slightly early on those.
  • Practise in solo mode before your one daily attempt.
