Stackdle Daily #36 for Oct 6: an orange arch held above the base plate, a height of 0 cm with three hearts, and a panel listing the next pieces, a notched beam and a porthole

Stackdle is a free daily physics stacking game from the maker of Amountle. Everyone gets the same set of shapes each day, arches, beams, portholes and more, and you drag, turn and drop each one onto your tower. The tallest stack that holds still is your score, and you have three falls.

About Stackdle

Stackdle is part of a small family of physics dailies from Amountle, alongside Flipsies, Halfsies, Puttsies and Weighsies. Its question is the one on the box: how tall can you stack it?

Each day's set is numbered and shared by every player. A panel shows the piece you are holding and the next ones in line, so you can plan ahead: an arch now, a notched beam next, then a porthole. You drag a piece over the tower, turn it with the handle, the scroll wheel or the Q and E keys, and drop it. If the tower stays still for a moment, its height counts.

You get up to 20 pieces and three falls, shown as hearts. Your score is the tallest stack that held, measured in centimetres. On some days the goal changes, and you build out past an edge or bridge a gap instead. A practice mode has endless pieces for getting the feel of the physics without risking the daily.

It suits players who like hands-on physics toys more than word or number puzzles, and want one careful build a day.

How to play Stackdle

  1. Open Stackdle and choose Daily.
  2. Drag the current piece over your tower; check the panel to see what comes next.
  3. Turn it with the handle, the scroll wheel or Q and E, and press R for a quarter turn.
  4. Drop it, and wait for the tower to stay still so the height counts.
  5. Keep stacking up to 20 pieces; three falls end the run, and your tallest stable stack is your score.

Tips

  • Look at the next pieces before placing this one, and leave a flat top for awkward shapes.
  • Put wide, heavy pieces low and save round pieces for spots where they cannot roll.
  • Practise in Practice mode, which has endless pieces, before your daily build.
