DropStack guide on Zalize Daily Games

DropStack #94 on Zalize for October 3: an empty container with a strawberry ready to drop, 50 drops left and an orange shown as the next fruit

DropStack is a daily take on the suika (watermelon) merge game on Zalize Daily Games. Everyone drops the same 50 fruits in the same order, two of a kind merge into the next size, and your score is placed against everyone else's that day.

About DropStack (Zalize)

DropStack is a physics merge game in the style of the Suika or watermelon game. You move a fruit left or right above a container and drop it; when two identical fruits touch they merge into the next bigger fruit, from cherries up to watermelons.

What makes it a daily is the sequence. Endless versions hand out random fruit, but in DropStack everyone gets the exact same 50 drops in the same order with the same physics, so scores can be compared fairly. The run ends when your drops are used up or the container overflows.

After the 50th drop your score is placed on that day's distribution and you see what share of players you beat. You can add a nickname to join the top 100 without making an account.

Tips

  • Keep the biggest fruit in one corner and build sizes down from it.
  • Do not bury a small fruit under bigger ones; it may never reach its pair.
  • The sequence is the same for everyone, so a second look at tomorrow's start is not possible, but patterns in your own play are.
  • Leave space in the middle for the drops you do not want.
