DayBrix is a daily falling-blocks minigame from VOLE.wtf. Each day's challenge gives you one attempt to clear all the gold bricks from a board, with the same piece sequence for everyone and a twist depending on the weekday. An arcade mode lets you practise for as long as you like.

About DayBrix

DayBrix takes the familiar falling-blocks formula and turns it into a quick daily challenge. The board starts with gold bricks in it, and you fill rows to clear them; the goal is to clear every gold brick, and the faster you do it the better your time. Tap to rotate and drag to move on a phone, or use the cursor keys.

Each weekday has its own flavour: Sloth Sunday, Blue Monday, Top-Heavy Tuesday, Wavy Wednesday, Thor's Day, Faster Friday and Savage Saturday. The pieces in daily mode come from a random generator seeded with the date, so everyone faces the same sequence, and you only get one attempt per day (with a bonus try on your first day). Your stats track your win streak, fastest win and win percentage over the last 30 days.

Arcade Mode is the endless version, where new shapes appear at 10 and 20 rows and the floor rises from 30 rows on. VOLE.wtf is a British site of odd web toys and games. It suits players who like Tetris-style games but only have a minute to spare.

How to play DayBrix

  1. Choose Daily Challenge; you have one attempt.
  2. Move pieces by dragging or with the cursor keys, and tap to rotate.
  3. Fill complete rows to clear them, including the rows that hold gold bricks.
  4. Clear every gold brick to win, as fast as you can.
  5. Share your time, or practise in Arcade Mode until the next challenge.

Tips

  • Practise in Arcade Mode before using your one daily attempt.
  • Aim pieces at the rows with gold bricks first; other clears do not finish the challenge.
  • Check the weekday theme before starting: Faster Friday and Savage Saturday play differently.
  • Keep the stack flat so you are not stuck waiting for one particular piece.
