About Mergeon

Mergeon, by Jelonman, takes the slide-and-merge idea of 2048 and makes it a daily puzzle. The board is 5x5, one row and column larger than the classic 4x4, which gives more room to build. You swipe in one of four directions, every tile slides as far as it can, and two matching tiles that meet merge into one of double the value.

The difference is the deal. In most merge games the new tiles that appear after each move are random for every player. In Mergeon the whole world draws the exact same tile sequence on a given day, and the game shows "same deal worldwide today" above the board. That makes a score a fair comparison: if a friend scored more, they played the same tiles better.

Chaining several merges in one move earns combo bonuses, shown as a chain multiplier above the board, and the best tile so far is tracked next to the score. Challenge links let you send your run to a friend and dare them to beat it. A new deal starts every day at midnight UTC.

It plays in the browser and suits anyone who has played 2048 or Threes and wants one shared game a day to compare.

2. Swipe or use the arrow keys to slide every tile in one direction.
3. Merge two matching tiles into one tile of double the value.
4. Chain several merges in one move for combo bonuses.
5. Keep going until no move is left, then share a challenge link with your score.
