Number Merge is a 2048-style sliding game on ChatPlay 2345, and its Daily Challenge gives every player the same game each day. You slide the 4x4 board so matching numbers merge and double, and the tiles that drop in follow the same order for everyone. Sign in to put your score on the day's leaderboard.
About Number Merge (ChatPlay 2345)
Number Merge is one of the quick games on ChatPlay 2345, a site and app of short games such as Match Rush, Gomoku and Dots & Boxes. It plays like 2048: numbered tiles sit on a 4x4 board, every move slides all of them as far as they go in one direction, and two equal tiles that meet merge into one of double the value. After each move a new small tile appears. The game ends when the board is full and nothing can merge.
In its Daily Challenge the game is seeded from the date in UTC, so the opening tiles and every tile that follows are the same for everyone that day. The header shows the date and the line Same game for everyone, with your score, your best and your largest tile above the board. That turns the luck of the tile drops into a fair contest: a better score comes from better moves, not a kinder board.
At the end you can sign in to submit your score to today's leaderboard, see your rank and a daily streak, and share a link to the challenge. The daily also includes a Block Blast game, scored on its own board. You can play by swiping the board or with the arrow buttons below it, and restart the day's game from the same start if it goes wrong.
It suits players of 2048 who want one comparable game a day, and fans of other seeded merge games such as Mergeon or the daily 2048 from FreePuzzles.
How to play Number Merge (ChatPlay 2345)
- Open the Daily Challenge for Number Merge; the date and Same game for everyone appear under the title.
- Swipe the board, or press an arrow button, to slide every tile as far as it goes that way.
- When two tiles with the same number meet, they merge into one tile of double the value and add to your score.
- After each move a new tile drops in; keep merging until no move is left.
- Sign in to submit your score and see where you rank on today's leaderboard.
Tips
- Keep your largest tile in one corner and build the rest of that row towards it.
- Favour two or three directions and avoid the move that pulls your big tile out of its corner.
- Because the tile order is the same for everyone today, a restart from the same start lets you try a better line.
- Merge small tiles early so the board does not fill with scattered 2s and 4s.
