FreePuzzles.net Daily 2048 for Saturday, October 3, 2026: the starting four by four board with two 2 tiles, score 0 and moves 0

Daily 2048 on FreePuzzles.net is a free version of the tile-merging game with a daily start. Every player begins the day from the same starting grid, slides tiles to merge matching numbers, and aims for the 2048 tile; score and moves are counted so friends can compare.

About Daily 2048 (FreePuzzles)

2048 is played on a four by four board. Each move slides every tile as far as it will go in one direction, and when two tiles with the same number meet they merge into one with their sum. A new small tile appears after every move, and the game ends when the board is full and nothing can merge.

FreePuzzles.net, a free puzzle site from FlameAI Studio, turns it into a daily challenge: the game is headed with the day's date, and everyone that day starts from the same grid. A counter above the board tracks your score, which grows with every merge, and how many moves you have made. Reaching the 2048 tile completes the day's challenge, and you can share your score to see whether friends did better from the same start.

You play with the arrow keys on a computer or by swiping on a phone, with no account. The site's Daily section also has a sudoku, a word search, a Connections-style grouping puzzle and a sliding number puzzle, each one a day.

Tips

  • Avoid the move that pulls your biggest tile out of its corner; it rarely gets back in.
