Daily Sudoku on FreePuzzles.net is a free classic sudoku that changes every day at midnight UTC. Every player gets the same dated 9x9 grid, solves it against a timer with up to three mistakes, and can share the result.

About Daily Sudoku (FreePuzzles)

FreePuzzles.net is a free puzzle site from FlameAI Studio with sliding puzzles, memory games, 2048 and word searches, and a Daily section where each of several games has one puzzle a day shared by all players. Daily Sudoku is the classic 9x9 grid: fill every row, column and 3x3 box with the digits 1 to 9 exactly once.

The day's puzzle is headed with its date and a note that everyone plays the same puzzle today. You click a cell and enter a number. A wrong number counts as an error, and three are allowed before the game ends, so guessing is risky. A timer runs above the grid, and a Notes mode, toggled with the N key or the Notes button, lets you pencil in candidates.

When you finish, you can share your time and result with friends who played the same grid. A new puzzle goes up every day at midnight UTC. There is no account and nothing to install; the page plays in any browser.

How to play Daily Sudoku (FreePuzzles)

  1. Open Daily Sudoku and check the date at the top.
  2. Click an empty cell to select it.
  3. Type a digit from 1 to 9; each row, column and 3x3 box must hold every digit once.
  4. Press N or the Notes button to pencil in candidates instead of answers.
  5. Finish the grid with fewer than three mistakes and share your time.

Tips

  • Use Notes for any cell you are not sure of; with only three mistakes allowed, a guess can end the game.
  • Start with the rows, columns and boxes that already hold the most digits.
  • Look for a digit that can go in only one cell of a box before working cell by cell.
