Septogrid
Rate itMerge multiples of seven up to 49 in the fewest moves, seven tries a day.
Every day: One board a day seeded by the date, the same for every player: reach a 49 tile in as few moves as you can, with seven attempts and only your best counting. New puzzle: Midnight local time (the seed is your local date).

Septogrid is a daily merge puzzle on a 5x5 board. Slide all the tiles at once; two equal tiles that meet merge into the next multiple of seven, and the goal is a 49 in as few moves as possible. You get seven attempts each day and only your best score counts.
About Septogrid
Septogrid, from Jema Games, takes the sliding and merging of 2048 and builds it around the number seven. Every tile is a multiple of seven: two 7s make 14, two 14s make 21, and so on up the line to 49, which is seven times seven and the goal of each day's board.
The score is the number of moves you take, so lower is better, and combos cut it down. A chain of four ascending merges in a row takes three moves off, then four, then five; a single swipe that makes two merges takes one off, three merges two, and so on. The day's board is seeded by the date, so everyone faces the same start, and you have seven attempts with only your best counting. You can abandon an attempt at any time.
Friends can join a room to compare scores on daily and weekly leaderboards, with a chat beside them. The game plays in English or French in the browser and can be installed as an app. Its makers also publish Septonum, a daily mental math game.
How to play Septogrid
- Open septogrid.com and start the day's first attempt.
- Slide the tiles with the arrow keys or a swipe; all tiles move together.
- When two identical tiles collide they merge into the next multiple of seven.
- Keep merging until you make a 49, using as few moves as you can.
- Use up to seven attempts; only your best score of the day counts.
Tips
- Keep your biggest tile in a corner, as in 2048, so merges cascade toward it.
- Look for swipes that make two or three merges at once: each one trims your move count.
- Chains of ascending merges earn bigger bonuses, so line tiles up in order.
- Use the early attempts to learn the day's tile pattern, then play for the best score.
