Climb a new island's mountain with up to three friends each day, the same map for every player.

Every day: One island a day: the map rotates every 24 hours, so every player climbs the same mountain layout and biome mix until it changes. There is no score or leaderboard; you can try the day's island as many times as you like. New puzzle: 17:00 UTC (stated by the fan site peak.joaqu1m.com, not by the developer).

PEAK gameplay: scouts walk across a sandy beach with palm trees toward the island's mountain

PEAK is a co-op climbing game by Aggro Crab and Landfall in which a troop of lost scouts must climb the mountain at the centre of a mysterious island to be rescued. The island's map rotates every 24 hours, so everyone climbs the same mountain that day, alone or with up to three friends. It is a shared daily map with no score or leaderboard.

About PEAK

PEAK is a co-op climbing game released on Steam in June 2025 by Team PEAK, a collaboration between Aggro Crab and Landfall. You play a lost nature scout stranded on an island, and the only hope of rescue is to scale the mountain at its centre. You can climb alone or with up to three friends, talking over proximity chat.

Climbing runs on stamina. Every injury, hunger or cold eats into your stamina bar and makes the next ledge harder, so you scavenge questionable food, cook at campfires and use items such as ropes, climbing spikes and energy drinks. Friends can pull each other up ledges, lay ropes for those behind and carry or revive fallen scouts. The way up crosses several biomes, from the beach and tropics to alpine snow or desert mesa, and later volcanic or gloomier variants, each with its own hazards.

The daily part is the island itself. The store page says the map rotates out every 24 hours: you can try the new layout each day or give the same island several attempts until you conquer it. Everyone gets the same island on the same day, so friends and strangers can compare routes, and fan sites list each day's biomes and loot. The developers generate new batches of maps every month or so and add them to the daily rotation in patches, and The Final Ascent update of August 2026 added the Gloom and Citadel biomes to the mix.

There is no score or daily leaderboard: success is simply reaching the peak. Badges, cosmetics and harder Ascent levels give long-term goals.

How to play PEAK

  1. Start a run alone or invite up to three friends through Steam; the day's island loads for everyone.
  2. Climb with stamina in mind, eating food and resting at campfires as you go.
  3. Use ropes, spikes and other items, and help friends up ledges or revive them when they fall.
  4. Cross each biome and reach the peak to be rescued.
  5. Come back after the island rotates for a new mountain.

Tips

  • Check a fan site's map for the day if you want to know the biomes and loot before you go.
  • Place ropes and spikes for the scouts behind you: the whole group's progress counts more than your own speed.
  • Be careful with unknown food when your stamina is already low: the store page calls the food questionable for a reason.
