About Noita

Noita is a roguelite by the Finnish studio Nolla Games, released in full in 2020. Every pixel in its world is physically simulated: wood burns, oil spreads, water puts out fires, acid eats through rock. You descend through a procedurally generated mine as a witch, collecting wands and spells and combining them into wands of your own design, which can just as easily destroy you as your enemies.

Noita has two daily modes. The Daily Run uses a world seed that is the same for every player for 24 hours and changes at midnight UTC; you get one attempt, and afterwards the option is greyed out. The Daily Practice Run uses its own shared seed and starts you at a Holy Mountain with a set of perks, wands, spells and gold already collected, and you can replay it as often as you like that day. The seeds come from Nolla's servers, so you need online features on to share the day's world with everyone else.

The daily modes give a game built on chaos a fixed starting point that friends can compare. They suit players who already know Noita's dangers and want to see how far one shared world can take them.

How to play Noita

1. Open the pause menu and choose Daily Run or Daily Practice Run.
2. Check the bottom-left corner of the pause menu to confirm the daily mode and seed.
3. Descend through the mine, fighting with your wands and avoiding fire, liquids and falls.
4. At each Holy Mountain, pick a perk and edit your wands with the spells you have found.
5. In the Daily Run your attempt ends when you die; the practice run can be started again the same day.

Tips

• Turn on online features before starting, otherwise the game uses your system clock and your seed may differ from everyone else's.
• Use the Daily Practice Run to learn the day's starting kit before you think about risky wand builds.
• If a practice run starts with a strange setup, restart it; if that fails, start a normal game first and then restart the practice run.
