Link the Flick
Rate itFill the blanks between two films with the actors and films that link them.
Every day: One new chain a day, numbered, the same for every player: a first film, a last film and a row of blanks for the actors and films between them, with a bonus challenge such as including a film of a given genre. New puzzle: 04:00 UTC (midnight US Eastern daylight time), shown by a countdown on the page.

Link the Flick gives you a first film and a last film each day, with a row of blanks between them that alternate between actors and films. Fill each blank so every actor really appears in the films on either side, score points for each link, and try for the day's bonus challenge and a place on the leaderboard.
About Link the Flick
Link the Flick is a daily movie chain game played in the browser. Each day's puzzle is numbered and the same for everyone: a starting film at the top, a final film at the bottom, and a set number of blanks in between that alternate between an actor and a film. On October 17, 2026, chain No. 72 ran from The Hurt Locker to Deadpool & Wolverine through nine blanks.
The rule is simple to state and harder to meet. A film you place must feature every actor it links to, and each actor must appear in every film beside them. Nothing may repeat, so each film and each actor shows up once in the chain. You tap a blank, search for a title or a name, and the game checks the link.
Scoring rewards finishing on your own. Each filled blank is worth 100 points, a hint that shows the possible options costs 50, and each day carries a bonus challenge, such as including a fantasy film somewhere in the chain, worth 250 more. Once the chain is complete you can extend it past the last film to keep scoring. A daily leaderboard, a streak and lifetime statistics sit alongside, and finished chains can be shared as a picture or posted to the game's Discord server.
You can play without an account; signing in with Google, X or an email link keeps your streak across devices and puts your name on the leaderboard. There is one chain a day and no archive of past days. It suits film fans who know their casts and enjoy the six-degrees style of puzzle, with the open choice of route making it less fixed than a single-answer guessing game.
How to play Link the Flick
- Open linktheflick.com and press Play to see today's chain: the first film, the last film, the number of blanks and the day's bonus challenge.
- Press Start, then tap a blank or Fill the next blank.
- Search for an actor or a film that fits: an actor must be in the films on both sides, and a film must feature the actors on both sides.
- Keep filling blanks until the chain joins the first film to the last; use a hint if you are stuck, at a cost of 50 points.
- Finish the chain, or extend it beyond the last film for more points, then share your result or compare it on the leaderboard.

Tips
- Work from both ends: an actor from the last film often narrows the middle more than one from the first.
- Prolific character actors and ensemble casts make useful bridges between very different films.
- Check the bonus challenge before you start, so you can route the chain through a film that earns it.
- Since nothing may repeat, save a well-connected actor for the blank where you need them most.
