Cinema Chain Game
Rate itLink the day's two actors through the movies they made and the co-stars in them, Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon style.
Every day: Two new actors a day, the same for every player (on 7 October 2026, Mia Goth to Heather Langenkamp). You link them by picking a movie with the first actor, then a co-star from it, and so on until you reach the second; shorter chains, older movies and lower-billed actors score more. New puzzle: Once a day, with a countdown to the next puzzle at the top of the page.

Cinema Chain Game is a daily take on Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon. Each day it names a start actor and an end actor, and you connect them one movie and one co-star at a time, scoring more for short chains, older films and actors lower down the billing.
About Cinema Chain Game
Cinema Chain Game began, its makers say, in a conversation on the Our Film Fathers podcast about the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game. They wanted a version that used other actors, built a prototype, and kept challenging each other and their friends to find the fewest connections through the most obscure films.
Each day the page shows two actors side by side, START and END. You begin by searching for a movie the start actor appeared in, then choose another actor from that movie's cast. That actor becomes the next link, and you keep going, movie and co-star, until the chain reaches the end actor.
The score starts at 100 points and drops by 20 for each connection beyond the first, to a base of at least 10. Solving in a single connection adds a 25 point bonus. Older movies add points, from 1 for the 2010s up to 11 for films before 1920, and each actor adds points equal to their billing position, so a supporting player billed tenth is worth more than a lead.
Around the puzzle there is a streak, a countdown to the next pair, a leaderboard, a daily recap, stats and an archive of past puzzles, plus a New Game button for extra play. The same makers run Cinema Pixels, a newer daily game about naming a film from a pixelated scene.

Tips
- Look first for a single film with both actors in it: one connection earns the 25 point bonus.
- When you need a middle link, pick older films; anything before 1990 adds more year points.
- Choose supporting actors billed further down the cast list, since billing position adds to the score.
- Actors from long careers or ensemble films make good hubs for reaching the end actor.
