AnimeLink
Sort nine anime titles or characters into three hidden groups of three.
Every day: Two new nine-tile boards a day, the same for every player: one of anime titles and one of anime characters, each hiding three groups of three. New puzzle: Midnight UTC, from the countdown in the game's code.

AnimeLink is a daily Connections-style puzzle for anime fans. Each day there is a board of nine anime and a board of nine characters, and you find the three groups of three that share a hidden link, with four wrong attempts allowed.
About AnimeLink
AnimeLink takes the grouping idea of Connections and fills it with anime. Instead of sixteen words in four groups, a board has nine tiles in three groups of three, each tile showing a show's logo or a character's portrait. Your job is to spot what three of them have in common, select them and press Connect.
There are two daily modes. Anime mode uses series titles, and Character mode uses characters from across many shows, so one day might group series by studio or theme and characters by a shared trait. Each mode has its own puzzle, and both change at midnight UTC, with a timer on the page counting down to the next one.
You can make four wrong attempts before the game ends. If three tiles you chose include two from the same group, the game tells you that you were close. A hint marks two tiles that belong together, there is a shuffle button, and past days can be played from the archive. Your results, streaks and win distribution are kept in a stats panel, and you can share a result grid.
The site runs in Spanish, English and Portuguese. With three groups of three it is shorter than Connections, which suits a quick daily check for anyone who follows a lot of anime.
How to play AnimeLink
- Open AnimeLink and choose Anime mode or Character mode.
- Look over the nine tiles and work out what links three of them.
- Select three tiles and press Connect.
- Keep going until all three groups are found, with no more than four mistakes.
- Play the other mode, then share your result.
Tips
- Watch for tiles that could fit two groups; solve the group you are surest of first to take them off the board.
- A 'so close' message means two of your three tiles belong together, so swap only one.
- Use the hint if you are stuck: it marks two tiles from the same group, which often unlocks the rest.
- Use the archive to play days you missed, in either mode.
