CineLinkr
Sort sixteen films into four hidden groups of four.
Every day: One numbered puzzle a day, the same for every player: sixteen film titles to sort into four hidden groups of four, with four mistakes allowed. New puzzle: Midnight in your local time (the game picks the puzzle by your device's date).

CineLinkr is a daily movie version of the connections format. Each numbered puzzle shows sixteen film titles that split into four groups sharing a hidden link, from easy to tricky, and you have four mistakes to find them all. Past puzzles can be replayed from the archive.
About CineLinkr
CineLinkr takes the sort-into-groups format and fills it with films. The board holds sixteen titles, and each belongs to one of four categories that the game does not name. A category can be about plot, cast, title words or how a film was made, so a title that seems to fit one group often belongs to another.
A new numbered puzzle goes up every day and everyone gets the same board. The groups are colour coded by difficulty, from yellow for the easiest through green and blue to purple for the trickiest, and four wrong guesses end the game. You can turn on film covers, shuffle the board, and spend a category hint or a pair hint if you are stuck. Results share as a spoiler-free coloured grid.
The site keeps an archive of every puzzle since the first, which you can replay without touching your daily streak, and a blog that explains the categories behind each day's puzzle. Its press page says there are no accounts and no ads. A sister site, PixelLinkr, uses the same format for video games. It suits players who already do Connections and know their films.
How to play CineLinkr
- Open the site to get the day's numbered board of sixteen film titles.
- Select four films you think share a hidden connection and press Submit.
- A correct group locks in and shows its category; a wrong one costs one of your four mistakes.
- Keep going until all four groups are found or your mistakes run out, then share your coloured result grid.
Tips
- Look for titles that could fit two groups and hold them back until the other group is clear.
- Turn on covers if a title alone does not jog your memory.
- Categories can be about words in the title, not only the film itself.
- Save the hints for the last two groups, where one wrong guess hurts most.
