Common Three (Ponder Club)
Drag seven words into a three-circle Venn diagram by theme.
Every day: One Venn diagram puzzle a day, the same for everyone: seven words to place in three overlapping category circles, with five mistakes allowed. New puzzle: Midnight Pacific Time, as the site states.

Common Three is a daily word-grouping puzzle on Ponder Club. Seven words go into a Venn diagram of three overlapping categories: some belong to one circle, others fit where two or all three overlap. You can make five mistakes, and a new puzzle comes out each day at midnight Pacific Time.
About Common Three (Ponder Club)
Common Three is one of the free daily games on Ponder Club, made by Calli and Eden at Flying Comet Games. Instead of the flat groups of Connections, it uses a Venn diagram: three coloured circles, each standing for a theme, overlapping in the middle. You drag each of the seven words from the word bank into the region where it belongs.
The interest is in the overlaps. A word might fit only one theme, or two of them, or all three, and placing it correctly in an overlap is the main deduction. A row of five ticks at the top shows the mistakes you have left. Puzzles are credited to contributors from the community, whose name appears above the diagram.
There is one puzzle a day for everyone, with a leaderboard, comments, and a free archive of past puzzles. No account is needed. It suits players who enjoy Connections-style categories but like a smaller puzzle with a bit more logic in it.
How to play Common Three (Ponder Club)
- Open today's puzzle and read the three themes on the circles.
- Drag each word from the bank into the circle or overlap where it belongs.
- A word that fits two themes goes in their overlap; one that fits all three goes in the centre.
- Avoid wrong placements: you have five mistakes to spare.
- When the diagram is complete, share your result or try past puzzles in the archive.

Tips
- Place the words that fit only one theme first; they are usually the easiest to be sure of.
- For each remaining word, ask of every theme separately whether it fits, then combine the answers.
- The centre is the hardest spot, so test candidates against all three themes before dropping them there.
- Think about less common meanings of a word; that is often how it sneaks into an overlap.
