FameThread
Rate itLink two famous people through the films, songs, albums and teams they share.
Every day: One daily case, the same for every player: a starting famous person and a target, to be linked through a chain of real shared films, songs, albums or teams, with a limit of 4 mistakes. New puzzle: Once a day; the game shows a countdown to the next edition but does not say at what hour.

FameThread gives you two famous names each day, from cinema, music and sport, and asks you to join them with a chain of people who really shared a film, a song, an album or a team. You have four mistakes and a limited number of links. It is free in the browser, in English or Portuguese, and dressed as an old newspaper.
About FameThread
FameThread is a daily connection game about famous people, styled as a newspaper: the daily puzzle is Today's Edition, a solved one is a Case Closed, and your stats are the Circulation Report. It is an independent game and says it is not affiliated with anyone it shows.
Each day you get a starting star and a target. From the current person you name someone new who shares a real work with them, a film, a song, an album or a team, and that person becomes your lead. You keep extending the chain until your lead shares a work with the target, then tap the target's photo to finish. The game's own example runs from Dave Bautista to Bradley Cooper through Guardians of the Galaxy, and on to Lady Gaga through A Star Is Born. Wrong guesses, going back a step and paid clues each cost one of your four mistakes.
Beyond the daily there is a Free Play mode with endless pairs at easy, medium and hard lengths of two to four links, a Perfect Route mode that only accepts the shortest chain, a 90-second Beat the Clock mode and One-Area cases kept to cinema, music or sport. At the end you see the shortest link and can share a result card.
It suits players of six-degrees games such as Movie to Movie or Dribble who know a little about films, pop music and sport and enjoy crossing between them.
How to play FameThread
- Open Today's Edition to see the day's starting star and target.
- Name someone who shares a real film, song, album or team with your current lead.
- Keep adding people: each new name becomes the lead for the next link.
- When your lead shares a work with the target, tap the target's photo to finish.
- Stay within four mistakes; wrong guesses, retraces and clues each cost one.
Tips
- Look for crossover stars who act and sing: they let you jump between cinema and music.
- Sports teams link many players at once, so a club can be a quick bridge.
- Use a retrace only when you are truly stuck, since it costs a mistake.
- Practise in Free Play's easy two-link pairs before trying Perfect Route.
