Roster Relay
Link two star players through a chain of teammates from the same team and season.
Every day: One numbered puzzle a day in each league (MLB, NBA and NFL), the same for everyone: link the day's start and finish players through teammates who shared a team in the same season. New puzzle: Midnight Eastern Time (the game dates its puzzles by New York time in its code).

Roster Relay gives you a starting player and a finishing player and asks you to connect them through teammates, one shared team-season at a time. There are daily puzzles for MLB, the NBA and the NFL. Guesses are unlimited, and the score rewards routes through less recognisable players.
About Roster Relay
Roster Relay is a teammate-chain puzzle from Hindsight Games, the studio behind Rough Draft. Each day it names two players, a start and a finish, and you build a route between them. Every link must be two players who were on the same franchise in the same season, and the game shows which team-season made each link valid.
There is a separate numbered puzzle every day for MLB, the NBA and the NFL, and you can switch leagues from the page. Each player you pick shows his roster history as chips, so you can plan where to go next. When a player on your route can link straight to the finish, the row turns gold and you can complete the chain.
The twist is the scoring. Guesses are unlimited and any valid route counts, so the game scores you on rarity: each teammate you choose reveals a rarity bar, with higher numbers for players fewer people picked. Your result shows the number of links, the average rarity and the total, and you can keep building past the first finish to raise the total. A roster you have already used gives no extra credit. Past puzzles are in an archive, where you can replay without touching your stats.
It suits fans who know rosters by season, and players of Dribble or Cinema Circuit who like finding a path between two names.
How to play Roster Relay
- Open Roster Relay and pick a league: MLB, NBA or NFL.
- Read the day's start and finish players.
- Choose a teammate of the start player who shared a franchise with him in the same season.
- Keep adding teammates, using each player's roster chips to plan the next link.
- When a player can link straight to the finish, complete the route, or keep going to build total rarity, then share your result.

Tips
- Work from both ends: look at the finish player's teams and seasons before you leave the start.
- Long careers and trade-deadline moves make the best bridges between eras.
- Pick less obvious teammates on purpose; the rarity score rewards them.
- Avoid reusing the same team-season, which earns no scoring credit.
- Use the archive to practise routes without affecting your stats.
