Dribble
Connect two NBA players through a chain of shared teammates in six guesses or fewer.
Every day: One numbered pair of NBA players a day, the same for everyone, to connect through a chain of mutual teammates in six guesses or fewer. New puzzle: Midnight in your own time zone (the game loads the pair for your device's local date).

Dribble gives you two NBA players each day and asks you to link them through players who were teammates. Each guess must have played with the last valid player in your chain, and you win when your chain reaches the target, using six guesses or fewer.
About Dribble
Dribble is a passion project by Taylor Stein, a basketball fan in San Diego, and it has been running for well over a thousand daily games. The idea is six degrees of separation for the NBA: you get a starting player and a target player, and you have to join them through teammates.
Every guess must be someone who played with the last valid player in your chain. The game's own example connects Stephen Curry to LeBron James: Kevin Durant is a valid first guess because he played with Curry; Kevin Love is wrong because he never played with Durant; Kyrie Irving played with Durant and with LeBron, so he completes the chain. Wrong guesses still use up one of your six.
The skill is knowing rosters across eras and how players moved between teams. Journeymen who have played for many clubs are the best bridges, while a player who spent a whole career with one team gives you fewer routes. When you finish, your result is copied as a grid to share, and your streak and guess distribution are kept in your browser.
The web game is free and supported by donations. A separate Dribble mobile app for iOS and Android adds unlimited Dribble, a Speed Dribble mode, Swipeball, a stats game, and Griddy, a grid puzzle.
How to play Dribble
- Read today's starting player and target player.
- Guess an NBA player who was a teammate of the starting player.
- Keep adding players who were teammates of the last valid player in your chain.
- You win when your latest player was also a teammate of the target; you have six guesses, and wrong ones count.
Tips
- Use journeymen who played for many teams; they connect to far more players than one-club stars.
- Work from both ends: think of who played with the target, then find a route to one of them.
- Players from overlapping eras are much easier to link; bridge large age gaps with long careers.
- Do not guess a player you are unsure about; an invalid guess costs a turn.
