Lantern Line
Drag through neighbouring lanterns of one colour to clear long chains, with one date-based board each day.
Every day: Daily line: the date decides the board, so every attempt that day starts from the same puzzle and target for every player, and replays compare on equal terms. New puzzle: Once a day (the game does not state the time).

Lantern Line is a festival-themed connection puzzle from Zany Games. Drag through three or more touching lanterns of the same family to clear them; longer lines score far more, and new lanterns drop in to fill the gaps. The Daily line gives everyone the same starting board and target for the day.
About Lantern Line
Lantern Line is a free browser puzzle by Zany Games, set at a night market lit by paper lanterns. The board is a grid of lanterns in a few families, each marked with its own colour and symbol: circles, diamonds, stars. You hold and drag through at least three neighbouring lanterns from one family to complete a line. A line cannot reuse a cell or jump across the board. Cleared spaces refill with new lanterns, so every move both scores and changes what is possible next.
Long lines score much more than short ones and build a combo multiplier, and they also charge three powers: Swap turns two neighbouring lanterns around to make a new route, Clear removes a blocking row and column, and Freeze buys time in a timed run. The game's own handbook points out that the longest visible line is not always best; the better move is often the one that leaves another connection open.
There are four ways to play. Quick play is a timed run for score. Journey replaces the timer with a move limit and stage goals across illustrated chapters. Practice is free play. Daily line is the shared challenge: the board is chosen by the date, so every player that day starts from the same puzzle with the same target, and a replay can be compared fairly with the first try.
Scores, Journey stars, achievements in the Festival Chronicle and unlocked lantern styles stay in your browser. There is no download and no account.

Tips
- Start a line near the edge so you can curve back through the board and make it longer.
- Before you drag, find two possible lines and pick the one that leaves another connection behind.
- Powers do not have to be used the moment they charge; keep Clear for a board blocked by isolated colours.
