Every day: One new historical event a day, the same for every player, hidden as a row of letter boxes per word. Your Daily result counts toward your streak, stats and private leaderboards, and yesterday's event stays playable for a day. New puzzle: Not stated for the Daily; the site's other daily counters reset at midnight UK time..

HistoryGuesso hides one historical event a day behind rows of letter boxes. You read the clues, fill in the missing letters and try to name the event with as few clues and guesses as possible, starting from 100 points. Private leaderboards let friends, families or classes compare their daily scores.
About HistoryGuesso
HistoryGuesso is a daily history quiz from Guesso Games LTD, a company registered in England and Wales. Each day it picks one historical event and shows its name as hidden words, with one letter of each word already filled in. The first clue is free, and the event has to be worked out from what the clues say about it.
Every challenge starts at 100 points. Revealing each further clue costs 10 points, each guess after the first costs 7 points on a one-word answer or 3 points on a longer one, and a random letter reveal costs 20. You get 4 guesses for a one-word event and 8 when it has two or more words. After each guess the letters in the right place lock in and the wrong ones clear, so later guesses build on earlier ones.
Beside the Daily there are two weekly specialist challenges, Classical History on Mondays and 20th Century History on Thursdays, and an unlimited Random Practice mode that draws from past events without touching your stats. There is no global leaderboard: you can create or join up to three private groups that compare Daily scores for today, yesterday, the last seven days and all time, and badges mark milestones.
The game is free to play with ads; an optional Premium plan at 0.99 pounds a month removes them. It suits players who like history questions with a letter-guessing twist, and the site offers a version for schools.
How to play HistoryGuesso
- Open today's challenge and look at the letter boxes: each row is one hidden word of the event, with one letter given.
- Read the first clue, which is free.
- Type letters into the boxes and submit a guess at the event's name.
- After a guess, letters in the right place lock in; wrong letters clear so you can try others.
- If you are stuck, reveal another clue for 10 points or some random letters for 20 points.
- Fill every word before your guesses run out to solve the day and keep your streak.

Tips
- Use the given letters and word lengths before buying a clue: they often narrow the event to a few candidates.
- On a multi-word event extra guesses cost only 3 points, so a guess that fills one word is usually cheaper than a clue.
- Keep letter reveals for last, since at 20 points they cost the most.
- Try Random Practice to learn the style of clues without risking your streak.
