Dunderdle is a Wordle-style daily word game for fans of The Office. Each day there is one five-letter word to find in six guesses, with colour clues after every try, and a numbered result to share. Its word list includes words from the show, such as BEETS, CREED and SCOTT.

About Dunderdle

Dunderdle calls itself Wordle for The Office fans. The rules are the familiar ones: type a five-letter word, and each letter turns to show whether it is in the right place, in the word but elsewhere, or not in the word at all. You have six guesses to find the day's word.

What sets it apart is the vocabulary. Alongside ordinary English words, its list of words carries names and terms from the series, such as BEETS, CREED, KEVIN and SCOTT, so the day's answer can be a nod to Dunder Mifflin. Each puzzle is numbered, a countdown shows when the next word arrives, and the share card shows your grid as Dunderdle and its number.

It is free in the browser. It suits Wordle players who have watched The Office and like a themed twist on the daily word.

How to play Dunderdle

  1. Open Dunderdle and type any five-letter word, then press Enter.
  2. Read the colours: the right letter in the right place, the right letter in the wrong place, or a letter not in the word.
  3. Use the clues to make your next guess.
  4. Find the word within six guesses, then share your numbered result.

Tips

  • Think of the show: names and terms from The Office can be answers.
  • Start with a word that tests common vowels and consonants, as in Wordle.
  • Use the countdown to know when the next word arrives.
