Capybas (DailyJig)
Rate itFind every hidden capybara: one per colour, one per row and column, none touching.
Every day: One Capybas grid a day, the same for every player, with a countdown to the next one. New puzzle: Every day at 8:01 PM Eastern Time.

Capybas is a free daily logic grid on DAILYJIG in which you find where the capybaras are hiding. Each colour region, row and column holds exactly one, and no two touch, so it plays like a Queens puzzle with three lives. Everyone gets the same grid, with a new one each evening.
About Capybas (DailyJig)
Capybas is one of the daily games on DAILYJIG, a small site that also has a daily jigsaw and a memory game. It is played in the browser with no account. The board is a square of coloured cells, seven by seven on the day it was checked, split into irregular colour regions.
The rules are shown under the grid: one capybara per colour, one per column and row, and capybaras cannot touch, not even at a corner. A counter at the top shows how many of them you have found, and three hearts are your lives, so a wrong tap costs you one. That makes it a Queens puzzle where you are asked to commit to each placement rather than pencil in guesses.
DAILYJIG releases a new set of challenges every day at 8:01 PM Eastern Time, and everyone gets the same ones. When you finish, the page shows your time, lives left and streak, a button to share the result and a countdown to the next Capybas.
How to play Capybas (DailyJig)
- Open Capybas on DAILYJIG.
- Look at the colour regions and find cells where a capybara must go, starting with the smallest regions.
- Tap a cell to place a capybara; a wrong cell costs one of your three lives.
- Keep one capybara per colour, row and column, with none touching, until all are found.
- Check your time and streak, then share the result.
Tips
- A region that sits entirely in one row or column claims that line, so rule out every other cell in it.
- Once a capybara is placed, the eight cells around it are empty; mark them off in your head before the next tap.
- Since mistakes cost lives, only tap a cell when you can prove it.

How is it different from Queens?
