GridSpark (Zalize)
Place one crown per row, column and colour region, with no two touching.
Every day: One crown-placement board a day, the same worldwide: one crown in every row, column and colour region, no two touching. 7x7 on Monday and Tuesday, 8x8 mid-week, 9x9 to 10x10 at weekends; one unique solution, new at midnight UTC. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

GridSpark is the daily crown-placement puzzle on Zalize Daily Games. Place exactly one crown in every row, column and coloured region, with no two crowns touching, even diagonally. Boards grow from 7x7 early in the week to 10x10 at the weekend.
About GridSpark (Zalize)
GridSpark follows the queens-style rules that LinkedIn's Queens made popular, marked with crowns: one crown in every row, every column and every colour region, and no two crowns may touch, not even at a corner. GridSpark says it is an independent game, not connected with LinkedIn.
Tapping a cell cycles it from empty to an X mark to a crown, so you can rule cells out as you go. Clashing crowns light up red, and the board is solved when every crown is in place; your solve time is your score. Each daily board is checked to have one solution reachable by a chain of logic, with no guessing or backtracking.
Size climbs through the week: 7x7 on Monday and Tuesday, 8x8 mid-week, and 9x9 or 10x10 at the weekend. A colourblind mode lays a different texture on each region, and a practice mode gives unlimited extra boards outside your streak.
Zalize Daily Games, at daily.zalize.com, is a free set of small browser games from zalize.com, each with one puzzle a day that is the same for every player in the world. All of them switch at midnight UTC. There is no account: streaks and statistics stay in your browser and can be moved to another device with a sync code, and playing every game on the same day earns a Perfect Day badge. The site is offered in ten languages.
