Jesters (Mind Loft)
Seat the jesters: one or two per row, column and court, never touching.
Every day: One placement puzzle a day, the same for every player: seat jesters so every row, column and coloured court has its quota, with no two touching. New puzzle: Midnight US Eastern Time.

Jesters is a free daily logic puzzle from Mind Loft in the Star Battle family. The court is divided into coloured regions, and you seat jesters so every row, column and region holds its quota, one each early in the week and two from Thursday, with no two jesters touching, even diagonally.
About Jesters (Mind Loft)
Jesters is a placement puzzle like Star Battle or the queens puzzles. The board is split into coloured courts, and each row, column and court needs a set number of jesters. From Monday to Wednesday that is one apiece; from Thursday to Sunday the boards are bigger and need two apiece. No two jesters may touch, not even at the corners, and numbers around the edge count the seats each row and column still needs.
Every board is generated with a constraint solver and checked twice: once to make sure there is exactly one legal seating, and once to confirm the whole board falls to step-by-step deduction. Rule out cells, corner the possibilities, and the jesters place themselves, with no guessing needed.
A new court appears every day at midnight Eastern, graded so the week climbs from a gentle Monday to the hardest court on Sunday. Wrong placements are counted, and the leaderboard compares results and times.
How to play Jesters (Mind Loft)
- Open Jesters and press Start.
- Tap a square to seat a jester, or mark squares where a jester cannot go.
- Give every row, column and coloured court its quota of jesters.
- Make sure no two jesters touch, including diagonally.
Tips
- Small courts are the way in: a court of two or three squares limits where its jester can go.
- Once a jester is seated, mark all eight squares around it as empty.
- If a court lies entirely in one row or column, that row or column's quota is used up by it.
