Queens Daily share card for Oct 3, 2026: an 8x8 board divided into coloured regions, with the line 3 sizes, new every day

Queens Game is an independent browser version of the region puzzle that LinkedIn made popular. Its Daily Queens gives every player the same 8x8, 9x9 and 10x10 boards each day at 5 AM Eastern, with streaks and a time leaderboard. Beside the daily there are 1,800 numbered puzzles, an unlimited mode and a ranked mode.

About Queens Game (playqueensgame.com)

Queens is a logic puzzle drawn from Star Battle. The board is a square grid divided into coloured regions, and you place queens so that every row, every column and every colour region holds exactly one, and no two queens touch, not even diagonally. You tap a cell to place a queen and can mark cells with an X to rule them out.

The daily challenge on playqueensgame.com releases one new handcrafted board for each of three sizes, 8x8, 9x9 and 10x10, at 5 AM Eastern Time. All players get the same boards, so the site compares solve times worldwide. Completing all sizes finishes the day's challenge. Solving at least one daily keeps your streak; one streak freeze a week covers a single missed day. A daily archive lets you replay any past day, and yesterday's puzzle can repair a streak within 24 hours.

Outside the daily, the site has 1,800 puzzles (300 for each size from 7x7 to 12x12), Queens Unlimited with generated boards from 5x5 to 12x12, Beat the Clock, and a ranked mode with an Elo rating. Signing in is needed for streaks and leaderboards; playing is free without an account.

The site says it is not affiliated with LinkedIn or Microsoft. It suits LinkedIn Queens players who want bigger boards or more than one puzzle a day.

How to play Queens Game (playqueensgame.com)

  1. Open playqueensgame.com/daily and pick a size: 8x8, 9x9 or 10x10.
  2. Tap a cell to place a queen; use X marks to rule cells out.
  3. Make sure each row, column and colour region has exactly one queen.
  4. Keep queens from touching each other, including diagonally.
  5. Solve all three sizes to finish the day, then compare your times on the leaderboard.

Tips

  • Start with the smallest colour region; its few cells often force a queen at once.
  • When two regions fit inside the same two rows, every other cell in those rows can be crossed out.
  • Every queen rules out its eight neighbours, so mark them right away.
