The Quiet Order
Place one monk in every coloured region, with no two in a row, column or touching.
Every day: New daily puzzles each day at several difficulties, the same boards for every player, with leaderboards ranking completion times for each daily puzzle. New puzzle: Daily.

The Quiet Order is a calm logic puzzle in the Eight Queens family. The board is split into coloured regions; you place one monk in each region so that no two monks share a row or a column or touch, even diagonally. Daily puzzles come with leaderboards, and the free demo on itch.io also has a set of levels.
About The Quiet Order
The Quiet Order takes the rules familiar from Queens and the classic Eight Queens problem and dresses them as a monastery at sunset. Each board is divided into coloured regions. Every region needs exactly one monk, no row or column may hold two, and no two monks may stand next to each other, diagonals included. Each puzzle has a single solution reachable by logic alone, with no guessing.
You left-click to place or remove a monk and right-click to mark a cell with an X where a monk cannot go, and Undo, Redo and Reset help you back out of a wrong line. Boards run from 6x6 up to 10x10, where the largest puzzles ask for two monks in each region, and there is a dark mode, a colour-blind mode and an optional timer.
The daily puzzles change every day; the itch.io demo carries Easy and Medium dailies, and on Steam each daily difficulty has a leaderboard of completion times. The demo also has fixed sets of Easy, Medium and Hard levels. The full game is coming to Steam from Thorvaldsson Games, and its page says no generative AI was used.

Tips
- Start with the smallest region; its few cells limit the rows and columns around it.
- When a region lies entirely within one row or column, cross out the rest of that row or column for the other regions.
- Mark the eight cells around every monk you place at once, so touching placements are ruled out.
