Queens (TryHard Puzzles)
Rate itThree daily Queens boards, easy to hard: one queen per row, column and colour, none touching.
Every day: Three new Queens boards each day, easy, medium and hard (9x9), dated and numbered, the same for every player; every past board stays in the archive. New puzzle: Once a day; each board is dated (the site's Star Battle boards change at midnight UTC).

TryHard Puzzles posts three Queens boards every day, easy, medium and hard, each a 9x9 grid of colour regions. You place one queen in every row, column and region without any two touching, as in LinkedIn's Queens. The boards are free with no account, and past days stay playable in an archive.
About Queens (TryHard Puzzles)
Queens is the region puzzle LinkedIn made popular: a square grid split into colour regions, where you place exactly one queen in every row, every column and every region, and no two queens may touch, even diagonally. It is in effect a one-star Star Battle, and TryHard Puzzles runs it beside its two-star Star Battle and a route puzzle called Slidesmith.
Each day brings three dated boards, Easy, Medium and Hard; on 6 October 2026 all three were 9x9. Everyone gets the same boards that day, and the site says every puzzle is checked by its solver to have a single solution reachable by logic alone. Boards do not expire: earlier days stay in the Queens archive, so a missed day can be played later.
You tap a square once for an X, twice for a queen and a third time to clear it, or drag to cross off a run of cells. A setting turns on auto-X, which crosses off every square your queens rule out. A counter shows queens placed, and a Check button tells you whether you are right. Playing needs no app or account; a free account keeps your streak.
The site also explains how to solve without guessing, starting from the smallest colour regions. It suits LinkedIn Queens players who want more than one board a day, at a choice of difficulty.
How to play Queens (TryHard Puzzles)
- Open tryhardpuzzles.com/queens and pick today's Easy, Medium or Hard board.
- Tap a square once to mark it X, twice to place a queen, a third time to clear it.
- Place exactly one queen in every row, column and colour region.
- Keep queens from touching, even diagonally.
- Press Check once all queens are placed, then move on to the next difficulty.
Tips
- Start with the smallest colour region; a region inside one row or column claims that line.
- Each queen clears her whole row and column and the four diagonal neighbours: cross them off at once.
- Turn on auto-X in the settings to save taps on the hard board.
