Astrella
Star Battle with a shared daily board, ranked races and 16-player tournaments.
Every day: Daily puzzle: one new Star Battle board every day, the same for everyone, with a streak; The Mine adds a daily gold-rush mode. New puzzle: Once a day (the game does not state the time).

Astrella is a Star Battle game for Android with a browser demo on itch.io. Place stars so every row, column and coloured region holds the right number and no two stars touch. Its Daily puzzle gives everyone the same board each day, alongside ranked races, tournaments and a daily mining mode.
About Astrella
Astrella is a free Star Battle game by Alandor Games, released on Google Play in 2026 with a playable demo on itch.io. Star Battle is a pure logic puzzle: the grid is split into coloured regions, and you must place stars so that each row, each column and each region holds exactly the stated number, with no two stars touching, not even at a corner. Every board has one solution that can be reached without guessing.
The main menu brings the modes together. Daily puzzle is today's challenge: one new board every day, the same for every player, with a streak counter. Quick game is free practice on boards from 6x6 up to 14x14, with one, two or three stars per region. Ranked puts you in a race against another player on the same board and moves you through leagues on an ELO rating. Tournaments are 16-player brackets with a group stage and knockouts, played without hints, with empty seats filled by computer players. The Mine is a separate daily mode where you solve fast to dig for gold and can come back for more the next day.
On the board you tap a cell to mark it with an X, double-tap to place a star, and drag to mark several cells. There are hints, undo, notes, light and dark themes, a colourblind mode, and English and Spanish text. Coins earned in the game are spent in an in-game shop.
The daily lives in the Android app; the itch.io demo shows the puzzle and its controls in a browser.
How to play Astrella
- Install Astrella from Google Play and open Daily puzzle from the main menu.
- Read how many stars each row, column and region needs (shown on the board).
- Tap a cell to mark it with an X where a star cannot go; drag to mark several cells.
- Double-tap a cell to place a star; stars may never touch, even diagonally.
- Finish the board to keep your daily streak, then try Ranked, Tournament or The Mine.

Tips
- Start with the smallest regions: a region of two or three cells leaves few places for its star.
- Every star rules out its eight neighbours, so mark them with X straight away.
- When a region fits entirely inside one row or column, that row or column has no star anywhere else.
