Viewdle
Guess the country from the day's scenic view in six tries, with distance and direction after each guess.
Every day: One landscape photo and one hidden country a day, the same for everyone on the same date, from a schedule written into the page; six tries with distance and direction clues. New puzzle: Midnight in your own time zone (the page reads your device's date).

Viewdle shows you one scenic photograph a day and asks which country it was taken in. Each wrong guess tells you how far away the answer is and which way to go, and the colour of your guess card shows how close you are. You have six tries, with extra clues if you are struggling.
About Viewdle
Viewdle is a free daily geography game built around beautiful landscape photos. Its maker says the idea came from guessing where the pictures on a TV screensaver were taken, and the aim is to help players explore and appreciate the planet.
Each day there is one view and one hidden country. You type a country from the list as your guess. If it is wrong, you get the distance from your country to the answer and a compass arrow pointing the way, measured along the shortest path across the globe. The guess card turns red when you are far away and yellow or green as you get closer.
You have six tries. If you are struggling, the game gives extra clues along the way. A streak counter rewards playing every day, and the game is free with an optional donation link and no other monetisation.
It suits fans of Worldle-style distance games who want a photo to look at instead of a country outline.
