Vector
Rate itDrop a pin where five real flights will land or where they are right now.
Every day: One board a day of five real recorded flights, the same for every player: some rounds ask where the aircraft will land, others where it is right now. New puzzle: Midnight Eastern Time.

Vector is FlightQ's daily flight map game. Each day brings five real flights taken from recorded tracks; you read the card, tap the map where the plane will land or where it is mid-flight, and score up to 200 points a round by how close your pin falls.
About Vector
Vector is one of the daily games on FlightQ, a site of aviation and geography puzzles. Every round is built from a flight that really operated, with the track it actually flew drawn behind the aircraft, so routes bend over the pole or follow airways instead of running straight between two cities.
There are two kinds of round. A landing round shows the departure airport, the airline and the total flight time and hides the destination: you work out where that carrier could fly in that time. An in-flight round names both airports and how long the plane has been up, and asks where it is now. The day mixes three of one kind and two of the other.
You answer each round by tapping the map. A tap near an airport snaps to it, and the reveal shows how far out you were in kilometres and miles. Points halve with distance (every 600 km on a landing round, every 300 km on an in-flight round), anything inside 25 km scores the full 200, and a perfect day is 1000. Past days stay playable from the archive, and a separate Live mode uses flights in the air at the moment.
It suits players who like map games such as Worldle or GeoGuessr and want a short daily round that rewards knowing airline networks and how great circles look on a flat map.
How to play Vector
- Open Vector on FlightQ and stay on the Daily tab.
- Read the round's card: either a departure airport, airline and flight time, or both airports and the time already flown.
- Tap the map where you think the flight will land or where the aircraft is right now.
- Press Confirm to see the answer and how many kilometres you were out.
- Play all five rounds for a score out of 1000 and share it.
Tips
- On an in-flight round, do not slide along a straight line between the airports: long flights follow a great circle that looks curved on a flat map.
- The airline is often the best clue on a landing round, since a carrier flies only where its network goes.
- A jet covers roughly 800 km an hour gate to gate, which gives the distance still to fly.
