Tessera
Repair a broken stained glass window by colouring panes to match the counts at each corner.
Every day: One stained glass window a day, the same for everyone, whose clear panes must be coloured to match the corner clues. New puzzle: Once a day.

Tessera is a daily logic puzzle shaped like a stained glass window. Some panes are clear, and numbered circles where panes meet tell you how many touching panes must have each colour. You deduce the colour of every pane, then share your time and how many checks you used.
About Tessera
Tessera is a browser logic puzzle that mixes the counting of Minesweeper with the colouring of a nonogram. The board is a window of irregular glass panes, some already coloured and some clear. Your job is to repair it by filling each clear pane with the right colour.
The clues sit at the corners where panes meet. A numbered circle tells you exactly how many of the panes touching that corner must be filled with its colour. When a circle is split into slices of different colours, several colours meet at that point, and each slice gives the count for its own colour.
There is one new window a day, the same for every player, and a smaller beginner puzzle for learning the rules. You pick a colour from the dock and tap panes to fill them, pinch to zoom and drag to look at small panes, and use a check button to find mistakes. When you finish, the game gives you a share text with your time and the number of checks you used.
The irregular shapes make it look very different from grid puzzles, but it plays as pure deduction. The interface is available in English, Spanish and French. It suits fans of nonograms, Minesweeper and other colour logic puzzles.
How to play Tessera
- Start with the beginner puzzle if you are new, or play today's window.
- Read a corner circle: its number says how many touching panes have that colour.
- Pick a colour from the dock and tap a clear pane to fill it.
- Use corners where the count is already met, or where every touching pane must match, to settle more panes.
- Fill every clear pane, using checks sparingly, then share your time.
Tips
- Look for corners whose number equals the count of touching clear panes: all of them must take that colour.
- Split circles are strong clues because they fix the count of several colours at once.
- Zoom in on tight areas, as tiny panes are easy to miss.
