DailyGram puzzle number 1 in 10x10 Expert mode with number clues and a partly filled grid

DailyGram is a small browser nonogram (picross) game on itch.io with one numbered puzzle per day for all players. You choose a quick 5x5 or an expert 10x10 grid and fill cells from the row and column number clues; every puzzle can be solved by logic alone.

About DailyGram

DailyGram is a first game by the developer ndcheng, published on itch.io as a free HTML5 game. Each day it gives every player in the world the same nonogram, numbered from the start of the series in June 2026, and a new grid arrives at midnight.

A nonogram is a grid with number clues beside each row and above each column. Each number is the length of a run of filled cells in that line, in order. You fill and mark cells until the picture matches all the clues. DailyGram promises that every puzzle is solvable by pure logic, so you never have to guess.

There are two difficulties each day: a 5x5 for beginners and a 10x10 for experts. A three-step tutorial teaches the rules in under a minute. The game keeps a streak, has a timer, a fill and mark toggle (right-click to mark and drag to paint on desktop), a dark mode and a spoiler-free emoji scorecard to share.

It suits newcomers to picross who want a gentle daily start and regular solvers who want a quick 10x10 with their coffee.

How to play DailyGram

  1. Pick the 5x5 Easy or 10x10 Expert grid for today.
  2. Read the number clues: each number is a run of filled cells in that row or column, in order.
  3. Fill cells you can prove and mark cells that must stay empty.
  4. Complete the picture to finish the day, keep your streak and share your scorecard.

Tips

  • Start with lines whose clues add up close to the line length; overlaps reveal sure cells.
  • Mark empty cells with X as soon as you know them; they are as useful as filled ones.
  • Work back and forth between rows and columns after each new cell.
  • Try the 5x5 first if you are new, then move to the 10x10.
