About Nonogram - Puzzle Game (Joost Muijsenberg)
Nonogram - Puzzle Game is an Android app from independent developer Joost Muijsenberg. It plays the classic Japanese picture puzzle: numbers beside each row and above each column give the lengths of the runs of filled squares, and you work out which squares to fill and which to leave empty.
The daily puzzle sits at the top of the home screen. It is one nonogram, the same for every player that day, and the app shows its difficulty before you start. Finishing it earns a medal of 1 to 5 stars, with a perfect result for a solve with no hints and no mistakes, and it extends a streak with milestones at 3, 7, 30 and 100 days.
Every grid is generated with exactly one solution that can be reached by logic, so you never have to guess. Mistakes count: filling a square that should stay empty costs a life, and three to five of them, depending on the size, end the puzzle.
Outside the daily grid there is free play in four sizes, from a 5x5 Easy board to a 15x15 Expert one, and an adventure mode of hundreds of numbered levels that grow harder. Coins earned from finished puzzles buy hints or cosmetic themes. The app works offline, needs no account, and is available in several languages. It suits players who want a short daily nonogram on their phone alongside an endless supply of practice grids.
How to play Nonogram - Puzzle Game (Joost Muijsenberg)
- Open the app and tap Play on the Daily puzzle card at the top of the home screen.
- Read the clues: each number beside a row or above a column is a run of filled squares in that line, in order.
- Choose Fill and tap a square to fill it, or drag across a line to fill a whole run in one swipe.
- Switch to Mark to cross out squares you know stay empty; clues cross themselves off when a line is right.
- Fill every square of the picture before you make too many mistakes to earn the day's star medal and keep your streak.

Tips
- Start with the lines whose clues add up to nearly the full width: their overlapping middle squares must be filled.
- Cross out empty squares as you find them; the marks make the next deductions easier to see.
- Save hints for a real dead end, since a solve with no hints and no mistakes earns the perfect result.
- Turn on Zen mode in free play if the timer makes you rush and guess.
