Squishy Billiards
Clear the day's pool table of squishy balls in as few shots as you can.
Every day: One new numbered pool table a day, the same for every player: sink all the solid balls in as few shots as you can and compare your count with everyone else's. New puzzle: 04:00 UTC (midnight US Eastern daylight time), from the countdown in the game's code.

Squishy Billiards is a daily pool puzzle in the browser. Each day has one numbered table where the balls are soft blobs that merge when same-coloured ones touch, and the aim is to sink all the solids in the fewest shots. Past tables stay playable in an archive.
About Squishy Billiards
Squishy Billiards takes the cue ball and pockets of pool and puts them on short, odd-shaped levels that play partly like a platformer. The balls are soft blobs. Knock two of the same colour together and they merge into one bigger, heavier ball, which can be easier to sink and can push others in with it. Spikes on some tables split a merged ball back apart.
Each day has one numbered level, the same for everyone. You drag back from the ball to aim and set power, then let go. Checkpoints along the way save your progress, and your score is the number of shots it took to clear the solids. When you finish, a Share button copies an emoji summary of the day's level, your shot count and what you sank with each shot.
The game is made by James O'Halloran, who also makes Kinda Hard Golf. It runs free in the browser on desktop and phones, with ads. Every past rack is in the level archive with that day's scores, and a level editor in early testing lets players build their own tables.
It suits players who like the daily golf games but want something closer to a physics puzzle, where planning a merge pays off more than a strong shot.
How to play Squishy Billiards
- Open Squishy Billiards and press Play Daily Rack.
- Drag back from the ball to aim; the longer the drag, the harder the shot.
- Release to shoot and try to sink the solid balls.
- Bump same-coloured balls together to merge them into bigger ones that are easier to pot.
- Clear every solid in as few shots as you can, then share your result.
Tips
- Merging two small balls before going for a pocket often saves a shot later.
- Keep merged balls away from spikes, or they split again.
- Use the checkpoints: a safe shot that reaches one is better than a risky one that sends you back.
- If you missed a day, the archive lets you play it with that day's scores to compare against.
