Relic Arena is an autobattler by Double Edge Games, released on Steam in May 2026 for Windows and Mac. It is free to play, with a battle pass and cosmetic store. The twist on the genre is that units are free: each round you spend your gold on historical Relics from the shop and place them on your units, and each relic brings abilities and upgrades that combine into big combos.

You pick one of more than 25 Leaders from history, each with a signature ability that levels up and changes your strategy (the store page mentions Gandhi dropping a nuclear bomb on the arena). There are over 100 Relics, each with super upgrades, and more than 50 Wonders that can reshape a build. Most play is against other people online.

The daily mode is single-player. Each day's Daily Challenge sets up a game for everyone, and a June 2026 patch made its random number generation fixed, so retrying gives the same outcome and every player faces identical conditions. The same update period added Daily Challenge Leaderboards. Story-driven campaign maps offer more solo play.

The developers patch weekly and run community tournaments on Discord. It suits fans of autobattlers like Super Auto Pets or Teamfight Tactics who want a daily puzzle-like round on top of ranked play.

How to play Relic Arena

1. Install Relic Arena from Steam for free.
2. Open the Daily Challenge from the single-player menu.
3. Each round, buy Relics from the shop and place them on your units, then watch the battle play out.
4. Finish the challenge and compare your result on the Daily Challenge leaderboard.

• Build around your Leader's ability: it decides which relics are worth buying.
• The daily's randomness is fixed, so retrying will not change what happens: plan a different build instead.
