Hexarchy
A fast, card-driven 4X strategy game with daily challenges on a global leaderboard.
Every day: A short Daily Challenge scenario each day with set objectives, ranked on a global leaderboard, plus a longer weekly campaign. New puzzle: Once a day; the store does not state the time.

Hexarchy is a turn-based historical 4X strategy game built around deckbuilding: research and civics add cards to your deck as you build cities and armies on a hex map. Games last under an hour, and short Daily Challenges rank you on a global leaderboard.
About Hexarchy
Hexarchy, from Main Tank Software, takes the build-an-empire formula of historical 4X games and compresses it into matches of under an hour. You found and grow cities, improve land to gather resources, trade or sell them, build wonders and armies, and fight or out-build rivals on a hex map. Researching technologies and adopting civics adds cards to your deck, so your strategy is shaped by the cards you draw. There are 11 civilisations and several map types.
Beside skirmish and multiplayer, the game has Daily Challenges: short single-player scenarios with set objectives, after which you see where you placed on the global leaderboard. Weekly Campaigns are longer, and a weekly Hegemon challenge has players of the same civilisation working together. Updates in 2026 are still adding new challenge objectives and adjusting how attempts work.
It suits strategy players who like Civilization but want a game they can finish in a lunch break, with a daily score to compare.
How to play Hexarchy
- Buy and install Hexarchy on Steam.
- Open Daily Challenge from the single-player menu.

Tips
- Read the challenge objective before your first turn and plan your cities around it.
- Retrying a Daily Challenge counts as another attempt, so think before restarting.
- Learn civilisations in skirmish first; each plays differently.
