Every day: Three Street View locations a day, the same for every player, with three minutes per round, one scored attempt and a daily top 100 leaderboard. The daily needs a free PlaceGuessr account. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

PlaceGuessr is a free Street View guessing game in the browser. Its Daily Challenge drops every player into the same three places each day; you look around for clues, pin your guess on a world map and score up to 10,000 points a round. The daily needs a free account and gives one attempt, with a leaderboard that starts over at midnight UTC.
About PlaceGuessr
PlaceGuessr is a geography game played in a web browser. Each round opens a real Google Street View panorama somewhere in the world, with a small world map in the corner. You look around, walk down the road if you like, and drop a pin where you think you are. The closer the pin, the higher the score, up to 10,000 points for a guess within 250 metres.
The Daily Challenge is the part that is the same for everyone. Each day at midnight UTC three new locations are picked, and every player gets the same three. You have three minutes per round, and the pin you have placed when the timer ends is the one that counts. The best possible day is 30,000 points. Results are scored again on the server, and the top 100 players of the day go on a public leaderboard.
The daily needs a free PlaceGuessr account and allows one scored attempt. Outside the daily, everything else works without signing in: unlimited single player rounds on 135 maps of the world, continents, countries and cities, plus 1v1 Duels, 2v2 Team Duels and private Party lobbies with a share code. The site shows ads with consent.
The idea will be familiar to anyone who has played GeoGuessr, and PlaceGuessr says plainly that it is an independent game with no tie to GeoGuessr. The screens are in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian. It suits players who like reading road signs, vegetation and driving sides, and who want one short, fixed set of places a day to compare with others.

Tips
- Play a few unlimited rounds on the World map first: the daily gives you only one attempt.
- Check which side of the road cars drive on. It rules out a large part of the world at once.
- The alphabet on signs narrows the region even when you cannot read the language.
- A pin placed but not submitted still counts when the timer runs out, so drop a rough guess early and refine it.
- Within 250 metres scores the full 10,000, so once you know the town, look for the exact street.
Questions
Is the PlaceGuessr Daily Challenge free?
Yes. It costs nothing, but you need a free PlaceGuessr account to play it, because every result goes on the daily leaderboard.
When does the Daily Challenge reset?
At 00:00 UTC each day. New locations are picked and a new leaderboard starts. The daily page shows a countdown to the next one.
How many rounds are in the daily?
Three rounds of three minutes each, worth up to 10,000 points each, so 30,000 is a perfect day.

Is PlaceGuessr part of GeoGuessr?
