About Legends of Kingdom Rush

Legends of Kingdom Rush takes the heroes of Ironhide Game Studio's tower defense series and puts them into a turn-based role-playing game. It was released on Steam in July 2022 for Windows and Mac, and it keeps the series' bright fantasy look and sense of humour.

An adventure has you lead a small party across a map of forests, mountains and wastelands. Battles take place on a hex grid, where you move each hero to make the best use of their skills. There are 6 Legendary Heroes, such as the paladin Gerald Lightseeker and the assassin Asra Daggerfall, and 12 companions to recruit, plus over 100 narrative events between fights. Runs vary each time, in roguelike fashion.

The daily part is the Daily Challenges mode. Each day the game sets a challenge that every player tackles, and results count towards a weekly leaderboard where you compete for the top spot. A separate Quick-Play Arena mode throws hordes of enemies at a randomly assigned party with combat modifiers, for shorter sessions.

It suits Kingdom Rush fans curious to see the heroes up close, and players who like short tactical battles with a daily score to chase.

How to play Legends of Kingdom Rush

1. Buy and install Legends of Kingdom Rush on Steam.
2. Open Daily Challenges to play the challenge set for today.
3. Move your heroes on the hex grid and use their skills to win each battle.
4. Check your standing on the weekly leaderboard.
