Burning Knight is a fast action roguelike from Rexcellent Games in which you raid a castle full of bullet-spraying enemies while a flaming knight hunts you. Its Daily Run seeds the whole dungeon from the date, so every player gets the same run that day and can compare results on a daily leaderboard. You get one go: once played, the daily door disappears until the next day.

About Burning Knight

Burning Knight is a top-down shooter roguelike with bright pixel art and dynamic lighting. Each run takes you down through procedurally built floors full of enemies, bosses, shops, secrets and a large pool of items that change how you fight, from ranged builds to melee or magic. It was released on Steam in June 2020 by Rexcellent Games and published by 2Awesome Studio, and its developer later made the full source code public.

The Daily Run uses a seed built from the UTC date. That means everyone who plays on a given day gets the same layout, the same item drops and the same enemies, and the result is posted to a leaderboard for that day. The game marks the daily as done after you enter it, so there is a single attempt per day.

Alongside the daily, the game offers seeded runs that you can enter yourself for practice or speedrunning, a boss rush and local co-op, though the daily is played solo.

It suits players who enjoy bullet hell action and want a short, fair daily contest where everyone starts from the same dungeon.
